That does not necessarily mean the underlying company has closed, since gift and collection platforms sometimes rebuild or pause their consumer-facing sites while the business continues in another form. But for a shopper trying to actually use the service today, the site itself does not appear to be functioning as intended.

Founder Georgette Hewitt asked for £60,000 in exchange for 30 percent of the business, pitching a website where parents unable to afford a big gift alone could invite friends and family to contribute toward it instead.
It is the kind of idea that sounds obvious once you hear it: online collections for children's presents, structured so a group of contributors could club together rather than everyone buying something small and forgettable.
The Deal That Got Done
Peter Jones and Theo Paphitis jointly backed the pitch, investing the full £60,000 asked for in exchange for the 30 percent on the table. Both are Dragons known for consumer and retail instincts, and a gifting platform aimed at parents sat comfortably in that space.
Following the Dragons' feedback, the business reportedly expanded beyond children's presents to cover other occasions too, including weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, baby gifts, teachers' end of term presents and corporate incentives, broadening the customer base well past its original pitch.
What the Evidence Shows Today
The company's own website is the clearest signal available, and right now it reads as inactive for shoppers, showing a placeholder rather than a working gift-collection platform. There is no recent press coverage, blog activity or social presence turning up that would confirm the business is still actively serving customers.
Gift and group-collection platforms are a genuinely difficult category to sustain. Newer, more established rivals such as group gifting apps and mainstream retailers offering their own collection tools have crowded the space considerably since 2011, and a first-mover website from that era competing against them without visible recent activity is a real warning sign.
