Every Dragons’ Den Deal Over £100K
The complete list of six-figure cheques written on air, who wrote them, which dragons backed them, and what they bought.
The typical Dragons' Den deal lands somewhere between £50,000 and £80,000. Anything at £100,000 or above is already well outside the norm, the kind of cheque that only gets written when a Dragon, or a group of them, is genuinely convinced. Our index has tracked 54 deals that cleared that bar across the show's history.
The standout six-figure deals
Two deals sit at the very top of the list, both at £250,000. Kimaï took that sum from Steven Bartlett alone for 3 percent equity in series 21, and Yuv Beauty matched it in series 22 with Bartlett and Sara Davies investing together for just 2 percent. Both are among the largest cheques any founder has ever walked away with from the Den.
A tier of £200,000 deals follows close behind. Theo Paphitis backed Gaming Alerts for that amount in series 5, taking 30 percent. Deborah Meaden and Duncan Bannatyne matched it a season later for Pro Waste Management Services, at 40 percent between them. Duncan Bannatyne alone put £200,000 into The Wand Company in series 8, and Steven Bartlett and Peter Jones together backed Boot Bananas for the same figure in series 22.
What it takes to clear £100,000 in the Den
54 deals out of 448 total in our index means only around 12 percent of all Dragons' Den deals ever reach six figures. Getting there usually requires one of two things: a business with revenue and traction strong enough that the Dragons see the cheque as low-risk relative to what they are getting back in equity, or a founder generous enough with the equity on offer that multiple Dragons are willing to split the risk between them.
The businesses on this list skew toward two eras. Duncan Bannatyne, Theo Paphitis and Peter Jones wrote most of the largest early cheques in the show's first decade, and Steven Bartlett has driven a fresh wave of six-figure deals in series 21 and 22, often for unusually small equity stakes that reflect just how much higher founder valuations have climbed in recent years.
The bigger picture
Set against 448 deals and £17.8 million invested across the whole show, these 54 six-figure-plus deals represent a disproportionate share of the total money invested from a relatively small slice of all the pitches that have ever closed. If you are trying to gauge what counts as a genuinely big outcome on Dragons' Den, £100,000 is the real line, and clearing it puts a founder in a group that fewer than one in eight successful pitches ever reaches.
