Dragon Profile
Every Sara Davies Investment on Dragons’ Den, Ranked (2026)
All of Sara Davies's on-air Dragons’ Den deals ranked by size, every company, every check, every equity stake, with links to where each product is today.
Sara Davies ranks fourth on our index of Dragons' Den investors, with 36 on-air deals worth about £1.3 million across her six years on the panel. She left after series 22, and her exit is why the show's fifth chair now rotates through guest Dragons.
Six years is a comparatively short tenure next to Peter Jones's two decades, which makes her fourth-place ranking, ahead of Theo Paphitis and Duncan Bannatyne, both of whom served longer, a genuinely fast pace of dealmaking by the standards of the show.
Who is Sara Davies
Davies built the craft-products business Crafter's Companion from her university bedroom into a multi-million-pound global brand. She was the youngest Dragon when she joined in series 17 and became the panel's specialist in product development and direct-to-consumer retail, expertise that shows clearly in the categories she chose to back.
Because she built her own company almost entirely from scratch, without the benefit of an existing retail empire behind her the way Theo Paphitis or Touker Suleyman did, Davies has tended to focus her questions on whether a founder actually owns the product idea, the manufacturing relationship and the direct sales channel, rather than whether they have secured shelf space with a big retail partner.
The deal record by the numbers
Davies's 36 deals average about £64,000 each, close to but slightly below the figures posted by the longer-serving Dragons above her on this list. She went solo more often than she partnered, with 20 deals done alone against 16 done with another Dragon, a notably more independent pattern than Peter Jones or Deborah Meaden, both of whom partnered on the majority of their deals.
Where she invests
Her leading category is Other at a striking 42 percent of her deals, well above any comparable figure for the other Dragons on this list, followed by Fashion & Beauty at 19 percent and Kids & Education at 11 percent. That concentration in Other, alongside a real presence in Kids & Education, fits a Dragon whose own background is in craft and hobbyist products, categories that do not map cleanly onto the show's broader labels.
Her biggest deal
Davies's largest deal is Yuv Beauty, where she and Steven Bartlett together invested £250,000 for just 2 percent in series 22, one of the two largest cheques in the show's entire history and the smallest equity percentage attached to any deal of that size. A deal that size, at that low an equity percentage, only makes sense if both investors believed the underlying valuation genuinely justified it, which makes it one of the more aggressive bets either Dragon made in that series.
Still selling today
Tancream, Mak Tok, Pipe Easy and Drynks Unlimited are all still selling among her portfolio, a mix that again leans toward niche, product-led businesses rather than any single obvious category. Each of those four is a single-product or narrow-range business rather than a broad retailer, which fits Davies's own instinct as a product developer first and an investor second, someone who tends to back a specific, well-designed item rather than a whole catalogue.
How she compares to the rest of the panel
In six series, Davies logged nearly as many deals as Duncan Bannatyne managed across his entire ten-series run, 36 against his 14, a direct result of the Den's deal rate having climbed sharply by the time she joined in series 17. Her low partnering rate, just 16 of 36 deals shared, also sets her apart from Jones and Meaden, and points to a Dragon confident backing pitches without needing a second investor alongside her.
Her £1.3 million total sits just behind Touker Suleyman's £1.5 million despite her having served roughly four fewer series than him, which underlines how much faster her deal pace was during her time on the panel. Measured purely on capital committed per series on air, Davies invested at a rate closer to Peter Jones's than to Theo Paphitis's or Duncan Bannatyne's, both of whom served on the earlier, lower-deal-rate seasons of the show.
Her departure from the panel
Davies announced in March 2025 that she was stepping away to focus on Crafter's Companion, and the series 22 finale was her last appearance. In six years she built a deal record that puts her fourth overall, ahead of Dragons who served considerably longer, including Theo Paphitis and Duncan Bannatyne, a pace that reflects both the show's rising deal rate in recent series and her own willingness to back a high volume of niche, product-focused pitches.
