Touker Suleyman ranks third on our index of Dragons' Den investors, with 41 on-air deals worth roughly £1.5 million since he joined the panel in series 13. He has confirmed that series 23 will be his last.

That third-place ranking has held for years and puts him clearly ahead of the rest of the panel behind Peter Jones and Deborah Meaden, the only two Dragons with longer tenures and larger totals.

Who is Touker Suleyman

Suleyman is a rag-trade veteran who owns the British shirtmaker Hawes & Curtis and the fashion brand Ghost. Since joining in series 13 he has established himself as the Dragon to beat on manufacturing, fashion, retail margins and supply chains, questions of production cost and scale that other Dragons tend to defer to him on during pitches.

His career began in the clothing trade decades before he sat on the panel, and that hands-on manufacturing background shows up repeatedly in how he tests a pitch, pressing founders on where a product is actually made, what it costs to produce at scale, and whether the margin left over after manufacturing can support the valuation on the table.

The deal record by the numbers

Suleyman's 41 deals average about £68,000 each, above the Den-wide average of £40,000 but below the figures for Peter Jones and Deborah Meaden, consistent with a Dragon who joined the panel roughly a decade after them and has had fewer series to build up his total. He has partnered with other Dragons on 24 deals and gone solo on 17, a reasonably even split, noticeably more balanced than the roughly two-thirds partnered split seen from Jones and Meaden.

Where he invests

His leading category is Other at 29 percent, followed by Fashion & Beauty at 20 percent and Kids & Education at 15 percent. The strength of the Fashion & Beauty share is the clearest fit with his own business background of anyone on this list, exactly the category his day job would predict.

His biggest deal

Suleyman's largest single deal is Big Clothing 4 You, where he invested £150,000 for a 35 percent stake, another pitch that sits squarely in his home territory of clothing and retail. At 35 percent, it is also one of the larger equity stakes on this list relative to the cheque size, in keeping with his general preference for taking a meaningful ownership position rather than a token slice when he backs a fashion or retail business he understands well.

Still selling today

Beam Block, Timberkits Ltd, Liquiproof and Bad Brownie are all still trading among his portfolio of investments, a spread that runs from children's toys to fashion-adjacent products, again wider than his fashion-industry reputation alone would suggest. Bad Brownie in particular has grown well past its original pitch footprint, expanding from a single dessert product into a wider bakery-style operation, the kind of scale-up story that fits Suleyman's own background in growing a manufacturing and retail business from a single product line.

How he compares to the rest of the panel

Suleyman's 41 deals in roughly a decade on the panel work out to a faster pace of dealmaking per series than either Jones or Meaden managed in their equivalent early years, a reflection of the Den's rising overall deal rate during his tenure rather than any single change in his own approach. His average deal size of £68,000 sits close to Sara Davies's £64,000, the Dragon whose tenure most closely overlaps with his.

By total invested, his £1.5 million puts him comfortably ahead of Theo Paphitis's £1.2 million and Duncan Bannatyne's £995,000, despite both of those Dragons commanding a higher average deal size than he does. That combination, a solid but not exceptional average deal size paired with a genuinely high deal count, is what pushed his total past two Dragons whose individual cheques ran larger than his.

What his exit means for the panel

Suleyman announced in early June 2026 that series 23 would be his last, after a decade in the Den, saying it was time for new blood and that he intends to focus on mentoring the entrepreneurs he has already backed. No replacement has been named. His departure leaves a specific gap on the panel: a Dragon whose expertise in manufacturing, retail margins and supply chains has shaped how fashion and retail pitches get tested on air, and whoever eventually fills that seat will be measured against a decade-long, £1.5 million track record.
